We had a great trip to Universal Studios in Florida for our high school band trip. I have traveled to this park quite a few times in my twenty year teaching career and this was by far the easiest trip I have taken! Having the team at Kaleidoscope Adventures allowed me to dedicate my time teaching and planning for my ensembles and left the day-to-day issues of travel to them. Having an online payment system was very easy on my staff for not collecting money from students and allowing them to manage their payments through an online portal. Weeks leading up to the trip the staff was very helpful in working with me to finalize itineraries and once I gave them the rooming list from our students, the staff there took care of the rest. Our experience on the trip was highly organized and efficient! We had a great bus company that drove our group from Texas to Orlando. We had an awesome tour guide, Jason Mentor, who was there with us the entire trip on park arrivals, departures, and at the hotel. Special thanks to Steven Moore for setting up this trip and getting us started! We will definitely be back in the future to book our next travel!

Our experience with Kaleidoscope Adventures (KA) was a complete failure in both management and safety. After a Delta flight cancellation disrupted the trip, KA failed to fulfill its contractual obligation to provide supervision for 20 students already in Florida. Despite the travel agreement stating, 'I authorize KAI to select a qualified replacement for my teacher-chaperone if he or she is unable or unwilling to accompany the group,' no replacement was provided, leaving minors in an unsafe and unsupervised environment. Furthermore, the refund policy has been handled inconsistently and unfairly; students stranded in Florida are being denied refunds entirely, while those who never left are only receiving partial amounts. After years of anticipation, the students were met with gross mismanagement that compromised their safety. I cannot recommend this agency to any parent or school group.

We understand how disappointing this experience was for your group, Jim. We addressed your concern on Google as well. When flights were canceled due to Delta Airlines’ staffing issues, our team worked around the clock to find solutions. Delta’s rebooking options required students and chaperones to be separated across multiple flights, which did not meet safety standards, and no further alternatives were provided by Delta. Our staff then contacted every available airline and checked departures from surrounding airports from New York to Washington, DC, but due to Presidents’ Day travel volume, no carrier could accommodate a group of this size. We also explored motorcoach transportation. The group initially decided against motorcoaches. Once they decided to proceed, they were unfortunately sold out. Participants who were unable to travel received full airfare refunds through Kaleidoscope Adventures and additional compensation directly from Delta. Kaleidoscope Adventures went beyond contractual obligations to secure additional partial refunds from local partners despite all services being prepaid and non refundable. Those who chose to travel independently were informed in advance of the risks associated with independent travel during airline disruptions. However, once they arrived, all trip inclusions remained in place. We even made sure the band director joined the group in Florida. While this situation was outside of our control, we stand by the diligence, transparency, advocacy, and integrity our team demonstrated throughout.

This trip did not happen due to a cancellation by a Delta flight. 20 students were in Florida, and not provided supervision in the Disney parks by KA, even though it is clearly part of their travel agreement. “I authorize KAI to select a qualified replacement for my teacher-chaperone if he or she is unable or unwilling to accompany the group" - this did NOT happen. Kaleidoscope will not refund money to the students that were in Florida, and the students who didn't even get to Florida will receive a partial refund. Students looked forward to this trip for years, and due to the poor managing by Kaleidoscope, minors were put in unsafe conditions. I would NEVER trust this travel agency with minor children.

Our recent trip to England and Wales with Kaleidoscope Adventures was absolutely unforgettable, and I can't recommend them highly enough! As a loyal client for 27 years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Joseph Hodge and Keith Kelly, two top-notch professionals who always go above and beyond. Their deep understanding of touring with a band and choir makes every detail of the journey run smoothly. From the very beginning, Joseph and Keith and Alex were there to handle all aspects of the tour. Whether it was coordinating travel logistics, securing performance venues, or troubleshooting any unexpected issues, they made sure everything was taken care of. Their expertise and calm under pressure allowed us to focus entirely on what we love most – the music. It’s a rare and valuable gift when you can trust the people you’re working with to anticipate and resolve challenges before they even become a problem. The experience was seamless, allowing the entire group to enjoy the rich culture and beautiful sights of England and Wales without any stress. I can't thank Kaleidoscope Adventures enough for their dedication to excellence. Their professionalism truly stands out, and I look forward to many more years of touring with them. If you're planning a tour with your band or choir, Kaleidoscope Adventures is the absolute best choice.
